This series is not based on image; instead it focuses on light (spirit) and color (emotion). I incorporate thread because it connects with my childhood and reverts me back to basic intuition and honest emotion. It also speaks as an element involved in pain, support, and eventual healing—those experiences that most help us realize love. I also utilize fabric because it connects with the human environment. Fabric embraces and surrounds everything we do. By infusing it with my work I am connecting our everyday experience with a higher conscious awareness of spirit and emotion, two elements that are often pushed aside by hectic lives.
