Swedish Massage: increases circulation and blood flow and is very calming and relaxing, utilizing long, smooth strokes.
Deep Tissue Massage: generally is used for more area specific issues. Deeper layers of the soft tissue are reached, often to work out more stubborn knots or injuries.
Sports/Corrective Massage: utilizes active stretching (Phasing with Active Isolated Release™) which is a form of Neuromuscular Therapy used for pain relief and increasing range of motion. By positioning the body to isolate areas of tension, muscles can be stretched during active contraction, which signals the muscle to release. The effect is increased flexibility/range-of-motion and posture/balance improvements. Other benefits of these treatments include injury prevention, accelerated rehabilitation, improved conditioning, endurance and strength, and pain relief.
